Well, without wanting to break the cycle of neglect and despondency, I thought an update was in order to the effect that I passed the exam I had booked for today. The passing mark was 790 out of 1000, I got 946. However you get 300 just for turning up, which possibly says [...] It’s been months since I last posted, and you’d be forgiven for thinking that I’d killed the blog off, not really I just haven’t had a lot to say. I’m busy studying for another exam, ISCW this time, part of the CCNP train. I’m thinking I’ll do the CCNP and then move on, maybe [...] On the 22nd May I took and passed the Check Point Certified Security Expert exam. That was one that had been hanging around my neck for about 18 months and I kept putting it off because I wasn’t looking forward to doing it and I preferred to do Cisco exams because they are worth [...] So I’ve kinda decided that I’m going to try to do the CCSE next. It’ll be a challenge because it’s over a year since I did the course, and it’s usually best to do the exams as soon after the course as possible so that you don’t fall into too many real-world bad habits, [...] Today I took and passed the BSCI exam which is a part of the Cisco CCNP train. Hopefully that explains my recent silence, I’ve been spending pretty much every non-working waking moment studying, and there was a lot to study.
