So I’ve kinda decided that I’m going to try to do the CCSE next. It’ll be a challenge because it’s over a year since I did the course, and it’s usually best to do the exams as soon after the course as possible so that you don’t fall into too many real-world bad habits, but I’ll give it a shot. What’s the worst that can happen? I fail an exam, big whoop.
The only problem with doing that exam is that the replacement for it is already out – the CCSE NGX R65 (snappy title). I can’t do that one because my CCSA is not an R65 it’s just NGX, so I’ll have to do the CCSE NGX first, and then do another exam to get current. What a bunch of arse!
While I’m typing, I want to point out my friend Amber’s website here. I just made her chicken and rice casserole and it is really wonderful. I ate half of it and I’m so tempted to just dig in to the rest, but that would be wrong – it’s a two meal dish, and I need to stop eating until I near explode.
Her brownie recipe is awesome too, every time I make those and take them in to work they disappear… although the last time half of them disappeared into the bin when I dropped the box. I was most upset.

Awww thankye for the link love, Mattie. I can’t believe you dropped the box of brownies! How tragic!
Are you going to try making the cookies? You could certainly just follow the recipe and use chocolate chips instead.
