I was getting a little bored with the old site layout, and was feeling constrained by the single sidebar – the sidebar took up more vertical space than my posts! So I have picked a new theme for the blog.
I’m very happy with the result. It’s a three-column theme so I now have two sidebars to spread out in, and it supports threading in comments, so when you comment and I reply, it gets wonderfully nested and stuff!
Still a little tweaking to do, might add some header images to the first one I could lay my hands on. It’s a photo of Mumbles Head taken from the mumbles road. I think it was the first photo that I took with my Fuji camera.
I grew up in Swansea and spent many a weekend cycling along the front between Mumbles (where I could get an ice cream) and the marina (where I could also get an ice cream) at the other end of Swansea Bay. After we moved to Llanelli I didn’t cycle so much, but kept on eating that ice cream!
So this is how the site will look for a while, how long is anybody’s guess – either I’ll get bored of it really quickly and change it again, or I’ll like it enough to get lazy. Time will tell.
